The MSc-programme

The construction of the master of science program differs from the construction of the bachelor program: every student has his or her own program. It depends on which discipline and/or their choice of optionals you have chosen. Therefore, it is recommended, that you already choose a discipline before you start the Master of Science program. General, the first year, you are doing subjects compulsory for your specialisation and subjects of your own choice: in this way you are designing your own profile within the MSc. The second year comprises a internship and a major thesis. Depending on your bachelor, you may get dispensation for certain parts. More information will be provided by the studycoordinator.

However, it is important to specialize yourself within the Master of Science program. From your specialisation, you are able to make te step to biotechnology. There are several disciplines, at which you can aim at: from the foundations of modern biotechnology: cellular/molecular research and process technology to the applications found in current biotechnology:food biotechology and medical biotechnology. Each discipline gives the opportunities to train and educate yourself as an expert in your specific field.
