choice of optionals plantcell technology

This choice of optionals focusses on the biotechnological and cellular aspects of plants and plantcells. As a student, you will aim at topics like: are (genetically modified) refined plants or plant cells suitable for production and processing of larger amounts of "self-made" components as usual? Is it possible with help of genetic modification to produce "non-self" components in plants or plant cells? What level of purity can be obtained? In this choice of optionals, one can also give attention to the (natural) control of plant diseases and plagues.
