choice of optionals: down stream

At the moment, when a significant amount of the desired biotechnological product is obtained, this product has to be purified in a responsible way. Besides the poduct of interest, cells and microorganisms produce other components, which can also be found in the reactor mixture. The cells or micoorganisms also have to be expelled. This choice of optionals focusses on purification and clearance of the product. As not unusual, a lot of different fields meet in this discipline. Besides purification by means of (bio)chemical applications, also certain technical resources, which provide a more physical appoach, are being used.
